Soul and Folk Music in San Francisco, California

As a musician, Andre dos Santos Morgan has written jazz, rock, funk, blues, gospel, cabaret, country, soul, and folk. Andre learned to love music as a young child. In high school, Andre decided to become a professional musical performer and lived in New York for many years performing live on stage and in film work.
Andre’s Boyhood
As a young-boy, Andre dos Santos Morgan’s heartstrings pulled him into music. Andre’s songwriting skills began to take shape early, when writing original songs for the choir at his father’s church came easy for him. It helped that the choir included his brother and 2 sisters, all of which have had soloist careers.

His family toured regularly under the name The Morgan Singers and shared the stage with gospel greats such as James Cleveland, Shirley Caesar, and the Five Blind Boys of Alabama.

Andre’s College Years
While on scholarship for vocal music at the University of Northern Colorado, Andre became interested in both acting and dance and was awarded scholarships in both areas. His studies lead to prominent roles in musicals, comedies, and dramas as well as company member status with the Colorado Dance Theatre and The Cleo Parker Robinson Dance Ensemble.
